In 2012, a new group formed at the Geller Center called "Geller Pearls." This group is now in a position to offer membership via application to ladies in the Ft. Collins Community.
The Geller Pearls were born out of an inspiration from a book called "The Necklace" by Cheryl Jarvis. This book tells the true story of several ladies who collectively purchase a necklace; the necklace is instrumental in bringing the ladies together and changing their lives. At the Geller Center, the necklace is one of pearls. The ladies who join the group commit to a year of meeting together once a month to get to know one another; each lady is the custodian of the pearl necklace for 1 month to wear it and share it. Members of the Geller Pearls also commit to helping enrich the Geller Center through projects and volunteerism, as well as making a tax deductible contribution to the Center. So far, the Pearls have been instrumental in helping the Geller Center with new landscaping, new flooring, open house events, and other enrichment activities.
If you would be interested in the opportunity to join this lively engaged group of ladies, please call or email Cheryl Beckett at 970-493-1495 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
